Live as the Insurance Provider. |
|
A day in the life of an insurance provider. I am always employed. After nearly eight years in the insurance industry I've found my life happier when I wake-up employed. It means setting up my calender in advance so I will alway's have people to see. The challenge is to contact the people when their looking, for those who look. There are some days in which I fall short in keeping appointments booked. On those days providing insurance coverage comes down to prospecting. On one such day in a local business, I met a lady. She told me what every insurance provider wishes to hear. She said,"My mom and dad are looking to purchase some life insurance to pay off our house in the event of my dad's death". The young lady provided me with her parents telephone number, and suggested a good time to call. I called and set up an appointment for October 2005. The appointment went great. The older couple purchased life insurance for themselves. Usally the husband is the bread winner as was with this family. He purchased more coverage to take care of his loved ones. His main concern was to pay off the house, if he were to die prematurely. He looked me in the eye, and asked, "Will you be sure my wife and daughter get this money if something happens to me?" I assured him I would be there for them. During an early evening of June, 2006, I received a call from the Mrs. She was very hurt, and afraid. She informed me of her husband's heartattack. There was no history of heart disease when the application was written. He had been through open heart surgery and thing's were looking scary. We called upon the Lord to help in a time of great need. Mrs. had been conforted, and all appeared to be looking better. The Mrs. called again near the end of June, frantic, needing the life insurance money to bury her husband. He didn't make it through the night. I reminded her of the process in the event death occurs in the first two years, after the date of issue. I was there for visitation and the funeral. When Mrs. received the death certificate we completed the claim paper work. The claim submission was recorded. I informed Mrs. to call me any time she had a question, or received anything in the mail. Mrs. called three times during the ninty-three day wait before the claim was paid. When death occurs during the first two policy years, there will be a Federal Investigation for fraud, homicide, suicide, ect. How would this have turned out without properly written, life insurance. Ask any widow who has received the Death Benefit check if life insurance pays. In this case, premiums had been paid for less than one year, and the Death Benefit was paid in lump sum. The LOVE this man demonstrated with his purchase of Life Insurance, paid off the home, created a retirement income, and allowed his family to continue their current, financial lifestyle for "pennies- on-the-dollar". Therefore, life insurance is sometimes referred to as buying "discounted dollars". Needless to say this man is fondly remembered and deeply loved by his family. Would you leave the fond memories in the hearts of your loved ones if you were in his shoes? NOTE: Are you depending on group term insurance at work? Read your group term policy. Find out what happens to your coverage at retirement, or if you change employers. In most employment situations, your group term is reduced significantly at retirement. This creates a problem many hard workers are not aware of. But there is a solution. Purchase your insurance while you are young and insurable. This creates owning insurance separate and apart from your employment, which gives you personal insurance and income options during retirement. Call me to find out how life insurance could benefit you in life, in death, or sickness, if you quit paying the premium, if you become disabled, or how to receive your premiums back.
